In Memoriam — Joel Kuznik

A recent issue of The American Organist included the obituary for Joel H. Kuznik, who died in New York City in April at age 72. Joel was one of a handful of mentors who were influential in my formation both as a musician and as a young man still trying to construct an identity in my late college years. He is now the second influential person from my college faculty to have died in the past two years, and this has given me reason to reflect on the importance of those years.
